I use AdWords as one free opportunity to evaluate on my niche targets. Basically, everyone should be targeting potential keywords for niches and not only trying so hard developing and optimizing it without the knowledge of having it better for earning. Keywords do have it costs and it will easily identify how much it's been optimized by other websites. For me, it's easier to target niches which have competition but not much optimized to still be highly searchable, at the same time contents still rule how your website will be viewed by the audience and make sales as well as you've gathered their interests to make a sale.
