Another Page Rank Update?

The last page rank update was reported on January 9th. It seems too early for another PR update. However, reports are pouring in from varied sources indicating the same. Members of WebmasterWorld Forums have also reported wide Page Rank fluctuations across sites.

It looks like my 3 PR0s from the last PR update are gone!

 yes it looks like a new PR update, not old and not the update from a week ago, a more expanded PR update, some former hijacked sites are also recieving a PR now.

Responses to the update have been varied. Barry of Search Engine Roundtable is disgruntled. He commented that:

Again, the PageRank score shown in the Google Toolbar is old, not up to date, and is basically for entertainment purposes only

Andy Beal is on the other extreme having seen his PR jump to 7.

I almost fell off the chair when I first saw our PR had increased to seven.
