Ask Makes Local Search More Specific
March 9th, 2007 | RSS Feed
Ask City has been quite impressive so far. Ask has introduced a cool new feature which it calls as “The New Shape of Local Search.” The new feature utilizes the pre-existing drawing feature. You can use the square, circle and polygon tools to specify a particular area on the map that you would like to limit your search to.
So just a draw a shape around the area that you will like to search, click on the magnifying glass to open a search window. You can draw a line to search a single street.

The new feature is truly remarkable as “You can even use the shapes to outline several areas, and do separate searches on each. It's a handy tool for searching when you know what area you're looking in, but don't know the name of what you're looking for.”
