Commission Payment System By Google Is Being Closed in Europe!

Sometimes back in September 2005, it was announced by Google that commission payments to different agencies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa will be replaced by another system known as,

"Best Practice Funding". But it seems that Google is still paying commissions with the only difference of a new name and much more standardized pan-European rate. And now there is a buzz going in the industry that even “Best Practice Funding” is going away.

This information came into the limelight after a article published by The Guardian. The “Best Practice Funding” system will wind up by the end of 2008. Till now this European search advertising payments system is worth around £50m a year to agencies. It was launched as something other than a commission and a way to try new ad offerings by Google. Danny Sullivan points out that the payments were not restricted in anyway

No idea why Google is ending this payment system. But many media houses believe that once more Google is highlighting its hugely dominant position in the search advertising market.
