Is Ask really serious about search? That's the question that a majority of Ask users are asking these days. Some think that the search engine offers quality search results and others think it is not able to meet most of the expectations on time! The debate seems to be going no where.

But now a new post at the “Ask's official blog” states that Ask is making relevant efforts to improve its search index and efficiency for all its users out there:

“Our engineers were going to have to spend more time on improving efficiency, and less time on new feature development. So we’ve been in the planning stages for moving to new datacenter spaces since 2006, and we’ve executed the move of thousands of systems over the past several months . . .

We’re excited about our new infrastructure position because it supports new and innovative core search technology initiatives, and allows us to continually improve the vital basics such as speed, freshness and relevancy.”

Every one is hoping for the best outcome, at least a better one!
