December 15th, 2006 | RSS Feed
Internet Corporation For Assigned Names and Numbers or ICANN has finally set afloat the dotAsia Domains. The news was made public in a press conference by ICANN in Brazil. For the domain there has been an agreement between dotAsia Organisation Ltd and ICANN. The highlight of this launch is that dotAsia will be the top level domain (TLD) and will not be associated to any particular country. The registry agreements for dot-org, dot-biz, and dot-info TLDs have been given the nod by the board of directors of ICANN and will have caps of 10% on price rise by operators of registry.
