Google’s New Open Source Service
July 27th, 2006 | RSS Feed
Google is launching a brand new service for the Open Source community. CNet reports, "Google’s Greg Stein plans to describe a new Google service for the Open Source community at the Open Source Convention in Portland this Thursday.
OSCON is a platform for proprietary software companies.
"I’ve been working with a great team for a while now to produce a new Google Service for the Open Source community — in fact, we’re putting the final touches on it as I write this blog post." Says Greg Stein of Google.
He offered no further details, but one possibility, given Stein's background, it could be an online repository for open-source projects.
