Google Analytic Adds Two New Advanced Features – For Advanced Users Only!
May 8th, 2009 | RSS Feed
Google recently announced two new features for Google Analytics. These features are specifically meant for advanced users.
The First Advanced Feature: Pivoting and Secondary Dimensions.
Here's the Google's explanation about this feature:
“You can use these new power features to do in-depth, on-the-fly analysis and see all the information in the same table. View data by two dimensions at once, such as keywords and cities. Next, pivot by another dimension such as source, while also viewing two additional metrics such as visits and pages/visit…. all within a single table view.”
The Second Features: Share Custom Reports and Advanced Segment Customizations
Here's the Google's explanation:
“Think you have the ultimate custom SEO report? Post the URL for the report to your blog or email it to a friend. When people click on it, they import the report structure, so rather than seeing your data, they see the report you built, but with their data in it.”
Following is a video,
These features are currently in their beta version and will be rolled out in the coming weeks.

Hi, Thanks for post.
a quick question, i got this post link when i was searching for pivot table.
Actually I am tracking e commerce transaction with analytic, and in one of my transaction it is showing order revenue in brackets (order amount). I was not able to track what happen. rest all values are without bracktes. when i checked this particular transaction and clicked on Pivot option, it is showing me 2 values one is 1. Localhost 2. website name
and order amount was repeated in both columns, So can you please suggest how to interprate this and what is meaning of () around order amount?
Looking forward any suggestion. Thanks.
