grandcentrallogo.pngGoogle is in talks to complete the purchase of Grand Central, a telephone management startup, whose claim is “one phone number for all your phones, for life,” for a still unknown sum, reports the reliable Tech Crunch.

Not the 'typical' phone service company, with Grand Central's services you can:

  1. “Check your messages by phone, email, or online
  2. Keep all your messages online for eternity
  3. Record and store your phone calls (just like voicemail)
  4. Quickly (and secretly) block an annoying caller
  5. Click-to-dial from your address book
  6. Surprise your callers with a custom voicemail greeting
  7. Turn your Mp3s into the ring tones your callers hear
  8. Forward, download, and add notes to your messages”

By June 17, Grand Central was used in over 5,500 cities also in the same month, Grand Central also won CNET’s Webware 100 Award in the Communications category.
