Google Confirms Bug in AdWords Tool
March 21st, 2009 | RSS Feed
Recently, the Forums at WebmasterWorld and Search Engine Watch have webmasters complaining about a bug in the Google's Keyword Tool. The complaint is that broad terms are being included in the AdWords keyword tool search.
In response to these complaints, the official representative of Google AdWords said:
“A bit of asking around tells me that what is being reported here is a technical issues known to the engineering folks, and not an intentional change.
As you will probably imagine, Engineering aims to resolve things as quickly as possible.
I am sorry to say that I don't have an estimated time-to-resolution – and I will exercise my better judgment and not even guess. I will, however, happily update this thread a couple of hours after I've heard that it is resolved.
In the meantime, please accept both my apology for the inconvenience, and my thanks in advance for your patience.”
However, the good news is that the problem has been fixed a few hours ago. Even though, there are still some finishing touches required, which will be handled by early next week.
The AdWords team requests everyone to tolerate these issues for a while.

IE 8 has just been released and now hacked after a few measly moments and Google Chrome has been bugged also after its release. Now the adwords tool…? What's next?
Is security issue really getting more vulnerable these days and if so where will it lead us? – Ana

This is the good thing that they have realized their tools mistake and not updating it timely. I would tell that Google is stepping ahead to provide you a single bit of tool for every purpose. But the google keyword tool is somewhat like piting up on it. I have used this in past with another tool from serp analytics but found some broad results from google. So i throw it off and now only using only tool from serp analytics and it can be found here http://www.serpanalytics.com/tools/top_keywords
