Google Declares Top 10 Searches For The Last Week of April

Google has released the data for Top 10 searches in last week of April. Earth Day, which was on April 22, seems to have interested many. It is Earth Day that leads the list for this week. The other news that attracted people is about the new earth that a team of European astronomers have found. The object, Gliese 581C is though to resemble our own earth.

Other atmospheric news that topped the list is about Lt. Cdr. Kevin Davis of Blue Angels and Skybus. Lt. Cdr. Kevin Davis died in a crash during an April 21 air show in Beaufort, S.C. Skybus is the new low-cost airline startup. It announced promotional fares of $10 a flight when it launches next month from Columbus, Oh.

Release of Pokemon diamond has also got a place in the Top 10 list. The diamond in the very first five days sold more than one million units. The desert music festival, Coachella that took place near Indio, Calif attracted a daily crowd of 60,000 fans. People searched about Coachella a lot.

Mike Penner's announcement in a column that he is transsexual was a big news. Mike Penner is a sports writer for the Los Angeles Times and after the break will return to his beat as Christine. And in Iraq-related news, former soldier, Jessica Lynch, testified before Congress that her well-known heroic saga in 2003 was only a press fabrication. She credited Sgt. Donald Walters, who died in the ambush, as the real hero.

Finally, from the celebrity section it is Katie Price who finds a place in the list. She with husband Peter Andre stars in a new E! "reality" series. Mother's Day is on May 13th and people are looking for ways to please their mothers.
