October 20th, 2009 | RSS Feed
Google has given official endorsement to reputation management, which is certainly a great news for reputation management consultants.
The thumbs-up to reputation management means that Google has nodded for the creation of positive web content to outrank negative feedbacks. The Google post is crediting search engine for creating a primer for Google Reputation Management that will include creating web pages with positive content.
“Instead, you can try to reduce its visibility in the search results by pro actively publishing useful, positive information about yourself or your business. If you can get stuff that you want people to see to outperform the stuff you don’t want them to see, you’ll be able to reduce the amount of harm that that negative or embarrassing content can do to your reputation”.(emphasis Google’s)
Although, this is not ground breaking because Google also gives advice for SEO but it is nice that green light is showed to online reputation management campaigns.
