Google Search Results Now Displaying Local OneBox Results

Google is displaying local results with reviews, links and more detail in its OneBox position. Google blog comments:

"From now on, you’ll see this every time you search for a place, business, or other local information. In addition to providing the basic contact information and map locations for several choices at the top of the page, we also show ratings and provide one-click access to reviews on the search results page so that you can make more informed decisions about where you want to go."

This is definitely going to catch the eyes of the searchers. It will offer better experience to searchers instead of the simple links to Google maps. Adding the star review at this level of local search has been an excellent step.

For example, local results for 'Mexican' and 'New York' resulted in a map of New York marked with three Mexican restaurants and links to the the same restaurants with star ratings.
