Google Solves Ad Filter problem
December 28th, 2006 | RSS Feed
It seems that Google has solved the AdSense Competitive Ad Filter problem, which has reportedly not blocking the unwanted links from appearing on the pages.
Matt Cutts has informed the AdSense team about the Ad Filter problem. I mentioned this to an AdSense person.
The Adsense team confirmed the WebMasterWorld forum that there is no problem in the Ad Filter.
A forum member states, "I just received a reply to the email I sent to Adsense Support last night. They said they have resolved the filtering issue but to allow up to 24 hours for it to take effect and if I am still seeing filtered sites after 24 hours, to let them know."
As reported earlier, the Google Adsense has an option to block certain ads from appearing on your pages, though these are content-based. For instance, a Webmaster would never agree to display ads of his competitor. In that case, the Ad Filter blocks those links.
