The CHI, Computer-Human Interaction Conference is round the corner in Montreal. This is the premier gathering of CHI practitioners. Googlers from different part of the worlsd are going to be there. On the eve of the conference many facts have come out which reflect  Google's keen focus on the user.

From time to time Google runs live experiments to discover better methods to search. This is an improvement upon theories which doesn't actually observe real people carrying out real searches online. Thus Google randomly picks groups of people to carry out experiments and see if their search experience improves. This explains why your Google might look different from that of person sitting next to you.
