After bringing you the news on a forthcoming Googleplex in Hyderabad, now it seems things are beginning to take shape. In a recent update, a senior IT department official of the Andhra Pradesh government said that the Global Internet major Google will be setting up its first campus in India, which will be spread over 20 acres in Hyderabad, as was reported by ET.

The information was provided by the Special Secretary in Andhra Pradesh's Department of IT and Communications, during a presentation on the coming Hyderabad IT summit 2008. However, till now there has been no update on this venture from Google. The official further stated that even Infosys Technologies Ltd. has been alloted a 450 acre land for its campus in Hyerabad. With this move it seems Andra Pradesh is gaining larger grounds in the Indian IT sector.

It is all good and wonderful; but with what has been given to Google, it certainly seems dwarfed before Infosys.
