Yahoo! Loses 3 More Executives. Lu, Garlinghouse and Makhijani, Taking the Exit Route!:

Jeff Weiner (Executive VP, Network Division) has quit Yahoo! And joined ACCEL. In an official announcement, ACCEL Partners and Greylock Partners, two highly successful venture capitalist firms have confirmed that Jeff Weiner has accepted his new role as an Executive in Residence for both firms. Three more top level Yahoo! executives are leaving the company for better opportunities. Qi Lu (Executive Vice President), Brad Garlinghouse (Senior Vice President) and Vish Makhijani (Senior Vice President) are expected to leave Yahoo! very soon.

Google Releases Webmaster Tools API!:

According to Google Webmaster Central Blog, after numerous requests from Webmasters to integrate Webmaster Tools for third-parties, Google has finally released Webmaster Tools API, a tool that integrates API (Application Programming Interface) into Webmaster Tools. As of now, the Webmaster Tools API offers a limited subset of all the functionality that Webmaster Tools provide. However, as this is the initial phase of the Webmaster Tools API, there are going to be a lot of updates and improvements for sure.

Matt Cutts Shares his Views on White Hat Link Building!

Recently, Matt Cutts while attending the Search Marketing Expo Advanced, was interviewed by Eric Enge. He spoke about the topic of link building and what exactly is good link building. Matt Cutts emphasizes on the fact that, the best links are those that are original research and provide value to readers for example, in the form of a Firefox extension. However, he did denounce too many reciprocal links.

Matt Cutts Advices on How to Keep Yourself Safe From Search Boxes XSS Exploits!:

According to Matt Cutts, small, medium as well as big websites should be very careful about XSS holes on their websites. These XSS holes can vary in forms, but one of the most common forms is the 'search boxes'. Clicking on these 'search boxes' is a big NO! NO!.

In the event, that you may notice a dip in your website's Google rankings, then you should initiate a few searches that would help you to find, if anyone has injected spammy or porn content on your website.

For example: If your website is example.com, you can run a few queries such as [site:example.com porn] or [site:example.com biaxin] or [site:example.com viagra] to see whether you run across unexpected results.
