Recently we discussed about the collaboration between Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft on the major issue of Canonical Link Element. Now Matt Cutts has come out with a simple explanation via a slide show as to how this element works.

On the Google side, Joachim Kupke did all the implementation and indexing work to make this happen; thanks for the heavy lifting on this, Joachim.
