According to Search Engine Roundtable, Matt Cutts in a Twitter message conveyed his disappointment about Webmasters providing unsubstantial information (lying) in their reconsideration requests to Google.

According to Matt Cutts, “Don't lie in a reconsideration request. Just don't go there at all. Makes Matt *angry*! Matt smash spam!”

There are a lot of people, who get banned from Google indexing. However, they always have an option of correcting the abnormalities in their websites and then submitting a reconsideration request, that more often than not, results in the re-inclusion of their websites in the Google index. But some of the over smart Webmasters try to get around the hard work and simply submit a request for re-inclusion without making appropriate changes. This method, is a road that leads straight to more trouble from Google. So, my advice is, get on with your work and then submit a legitimate reconsideration request, so that Google doesn't find any fault and you don't make Mr. Cutts 'Angry'!

If you ever get deindexed, you're able to determine how you can be reindexed. At that point, you can file a reinclusion request for your website.
