Microsoft Accepting Webmasters In Beta Live Search Portal!
September 4th, 2007 | RSS Feed
Some weeks back, Microsoft promised Webmasters a Live Search Portal. Microsoft officials said that this new portal will have the ability to be part of the beta, to test out new features. And as promised, it is already doing so. Some Webmasters signed up and have already been invited into the beta.
Microsoft has began to accept webmasters into the beta from 31st August onwards. Microsoft asks for the URLs you want to add to the webmaster portal and as of now, you wait. Presently, there are no reports of the URL to the beta login area. There are still no reports of what the interface looks like and what features it has. Whatever be the outcome, the good thing is that people are now being accepted into the beta.
Earlier, many people were excited when the announcement of making a webmaster portal was made. According to Microsoft officials, the portal looks like Yahoo's Site Explorer or Google's Webmaster Central. The portal was equipped with tools like, Linking data, Indexing data and Crawling data. Initially, the portal will support :
- Troubleshooting tools to see MSNBot is effectively crawling and indexing your site
- Sitemap creation, submission and ping tools
- Statistics about your website
- Consolidation of content submission resources
- New content and community resources
Now, Webmasters will be benefited a lot with Microsoft accepting them in beta live search portal.
