Microsoft Launches Mobile Ads in the US

According to Reuters "Microsoft Corp. began on Monday to place advertisements on its U.S. MSN Mobile page, moving into the nascent mobile phone advertising business."

Further, that the biggies Microsoft, Google and Yahoo see the mobile advertising market as being more lucrative than the online advertising market which is worth $40 Billion.

To begin with Microsoft would advertise for "from Bank of America, Paramount Pictures and Jaguar."

Microsoft's not new to mobile advertising "Microsoft already sells mobile phone advertisements in Belgium, France, Spain, Japan and the United Kingdom." The report further says that Microsoft's plans to advertise on a range of platforms such as Xbox Live online video game service. Additionally "Microsoft also plans to bring new features such as astrology and movie ticket buying to its MSN Mobile page."
