Cameron Olthuis, a web strategy consultant announced this morning in an interview with Loren Baker that ACS is launching a new personalized social media search tool, Serph, which will enable the users  to know what other people are commenting over the web at the moment.

The sneak peek on Serph gives a brief on its features:

Tools to track your buzz : Serph provides you with RSS feeds for any search query, enabling you to respond quickly to a blog post, picture or video that sparks your interest.

Ability to explore social media : Easily discover items that are related to your search. Recommended queries can help you dig deeper through social media and find more buzz.

Extensive results ; Along with a title and description, each result includes the source(s) the result was found on and when available, additional information from the source(s).

It’s all about you : Your recent searches are stored and displayed in the sidebar of every search result page. You can click on any one of these to see the search results page for that query.

Search from your browser : Install the Serph search plugin for Firefox to quickly start a search on Serph like you would any other search engine.

Cameron Olthuis tells Loren Blake:
Serph is social meta search engine that was designed as a buzz tracking tool. It goes out and searches various online social media sites to find the latest buzz on the web right now. The results are then sorted and organized so the most recent buzz appears first.
