Top 10 Searches List Of 2006 By Live Search

Microsoft introduced their search engine, Live Search in 2006 and and its users have searched the Web extensively for their various queries. A list of all the top 10 queries and searches in 2006 has been put together by Live Search based on most searched queries by its users in every region and country.

Speaking for compiling the list Program Manager, Live Search User Experience Team, Ivan Gonzalez said “After putting together the list of the Top 10 searches for this year, we became curious about which queries gained the most popularity compared with last year. As you can see in the list of the top gainers from last year, the 2006 FIFA World Cup popularized some soccer related searches. Because soccer was so popular overall, we decided to see what else was popular in soccer searches in 2006.”

Apart from the top gainers from last year and top overall searches lists, Live Search has also compiled top 10 lists of other categories such as news, travel, celebrity images, and products. According to Live Search, Mariah Carey is first on the top celebrity image searches list. Ronaldinho topped the top soccer searches with Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham placed behind him.
