Yes, you got the point, Google is hiring. Google Inc is planning to expand its manpower by a third. The new recruitments are mostly for the European market. This was reported by Financial Times on its website.

Some thousands of engineers will be selected by the search giant, to create a research and development team in the region as big as in the United States.

Nelson Mattos, Google's new head of engineering in Europe, said, "I aim to grow the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) engineering team as big as the one in North America. This is why I joined."

The timescale for the planned expansion has not yet been decided, but it seems that it will be within the next three years. At present, Google has a talented team of 13,786 staff, which it employed in just nine years. Most of the employees are based at the company’s headquarters in Mountain View, California. Google hired its first engineer for its Europe office, some three years ago and now has engineering offices in 12 countries across the continent.
