2) Matt Cutts Responds To Google PageRank Update!

After the PageRank debacle where most top blogs were stripped off their high PageRank, Google Guy Matt Cutts' came in and confirmed the update. A gist of what he said was: "The partial update to visible PageRank that went out a few days ago was primarily regarding PageRank selling and the forward links of sites. So paid links that pass PageRank would affect our opinion of a site. Going forward, I expect that Google will be looking at additional sites that appear to be buying or selling PageRank.""

3) Google Phone A Reality? Google Inc In Discussion With Verizon & Sprint!

Google to launch its very own phone had almost seemed like an urban myth until reports came in stating the search engine's discussions with Verizon & Sprint over collaboration to build mobile phone software. The ironic part is that, "the two companies have argued publicly over the use of wireless spectrum and cell-phone services."

4) Use Google Webmaster Tools To Let Google Know Your Site's Geographical Location!

If your site is location-specific www.abcdef.es then it really isn't a problem but if your domain ended with a .com or a .net or a .org then it is hard for search engines to know your location. Former Googler Vanessa Fox wrote about how to let Google Know The Geographic Location of Your Site. If you want to let Google know the location of your site, simply log in to the Google Webmaster Tools component of Google Webmaster Central.

5) Changes In Ranking Algorithm Reported At Yahoo! Search!

With all the excitement, how could everyone's favorite Yahoo! lag behind. As the latest news says that, Yahoo! Search is updating some important changes to its algorithm and index. The recent Google PageRank update has helped in getting a good amount of blog and forum coverage over the past week. 1. PR 6 Link Back Says:

I know that some blogs were hurt for there link back ways, but it was only temporay, Google replace the PR soon after, and some blogs went up a notch. My Blog was a N/A and now has a PageRank 6…so the fact is that links still taise your PR…no matter what they say. I have a Pagerank Pkg for others that with out a dought will raise your pagerank..and I say that because I am proof. Enough said, http://blogcarnivals.blogspot.com
