Yahoo! announces new Local features

Yahoo! has announced new local features on their blog. The latest Yahoo Local features allow "users to start organizing their world in a whole new way." The new Collections tool allows you to make lists such as "California Beach Towns", "Chicago's Cuisine Scene" and save them for quicker access.

You can make a collection private or even public where any user can view th public Collections of other users. You can add tags, upload pictures into any local content of your Collections. "My Local" dashboard allows you to manage all your collections, reviews, tags, etc. "The dashboard also gives recommendations on places you might like based on your existing ratings & reviews."
