Yahoo! announces partnership with América Móvil

Making a big move, Yahoo has announced a global partnership with América Móvil. The América Móvil is a leading wireless services provider in Latin America and this strategic deal will further boost Yahoo's mobile service. As now its oneSearch will be available by default to millions of consumers in 16 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean through América Móvil.

Both the partners are a name in the industry. America Movil is a leading wireless provider in Latin America with 143 million wireless subscribers and 3.8 million landlines in the Americas. On the other hand, Yahoo a renowned global Internet brand.

This partnership between Yahoo and America Movil will enhance the experience for consumers on mobile devices. In the coming months Yahoo plans to introduce localized versions of oneSearch which will be region specific. The two also have plans of adding more Yahoo products and services to mobile devices. With this partnership which also is its largest deal, Yahoo aims to reinforce its leadership among the mobile search audience.
