Yahoo! Answers In Indian Languages: Open Forum Launched

Yahoo! is launching Yahoo! Answers in various languages of India. There is a new open forum ‘Ask The Planet 2007’ by the company where one can pose questions and give answers and opinions to questions concerning to social issues in India. What is interesting is that the forum has already got into the eyes of some the most dignified and known personalities of India. The first question at the forum was by the president of India, A P J Abdul Kalam posing the question ' What should we do to free our planet from terrorism.' Answers to the questions have come from some well known public dignitaries such as Sri Ravi Shankar, Kiran Bedi, and Leander Paes.

For the forum George Zacharias, MD, Yahoo! India said “In line with the objective of Yahoo Answers, in creating a rich knowledge repository, the Ask The Planet series will provide an innovative platform for millions of Indians based on their real life experiences, to answer some of the biggest questions that touch our lives today.”
