Yahoo! Backlinks Update Reveals A Major Linkage Downslide!
September 4th, 2008 | 769 Views RSS Feed
A DigitalPoint Forums report has revealed that the Yahoo! Site Explorer has conducted a comprehensive update exercise regarding their linkage data reports. These reports have pointed towards a major downslide in the quantity of links reported presently, when compared to previous numbers.
The update is indicating that the linkage downslide has turned out to be as high as 5,000 links. Does this mean that Yahoo! Is now accounting for quality links only? Many feel that this might be a temporary reporting error, though. Some others, however, are sensing a different Yahoo! altogether, meaning that it might not be displaying those links that are either not counted or not followed in the linkage reports. While various speculations are on the move, it is still too early to reach a final verdict on this case.
