Yahoo! Launches School Search In U.S.

Yahoo! Real Estate in cooperation with GreatSchools.net has launched a new service which lets you search for schools in U.S. by city and state or zip. You can search for schools either by grade level (elementary, middle, high or all) or by school type (public, private, charter or all).

You can search for "free school reports and school profiles. Plot schools on maps, view schools by school districts, and access Comprehensive school information in order to compare schools and search for homes by school location."

The mapping enables sorting, distance calculation, specifying nearby properties. Search results also come with helpful stats as enrollment and test scores as well as reviews from parents whose kids are studying in that specific school.
