Yahoo! Marketing VP Hops Over To LinkedIn!

LinkedIn a happening business networking and social media company announces that it has hired Patrick Crane as their Vice President of Marketing.

About joining LinkedIn, Patrick Crane says, “I am thrilled to join LinkedIn and to play my part in building the world’s #1 professional network. We are just beginning to see the impact of connecting the world’s career-minded community, as LinkedIn starts to help millions of people realize their professional goals.”

Patrick Crane was instrumental in the launch and success of one of Yahoo's best services, Yahoo! Answers. Before joining Yahoo! in 2003, Patrick Crane was Marketing Director with Vodafone US and also Senior Marketing Manager in Vodafone Australia.

LinkedIn has over 10.5 million experienced professionals in its network. Perhaps Patrick Crane will give the company a much needed boost. Patrick is not the first transfer from Yahoo! as Anil Khatri, an erstwhile Yahoo VP of engineering joined the online business network company too.
