Yahoo! Rolls Out Services And Research Centers To Counter AOL

Yahoo! has launched two new services in the cities and maps segments. Three key areas for research have been noted by Yahoo! comprising of Asia, Europe and Emerging Markets.

According to a report at Agencyfaqs, Yahoo! also launched beta versions of Yahoo! Our City and Yahoo! India Maps. Both the services would try to highlight Yahoo! dominance in serving local content.

The level of activity at Yahoo! is also raised by AOL’s launch in India. Yahoo! has also set up a 2.2 lakh sq. ft R&D facility in Bangalore which will be a focus of Yahoo!’s activities in the Emerging Markets.
