September 9th, 2008 | RSS Feed
Over at Webmaster World, many Webmasters have reported major changes in Yahoo! as Webmasters are witnessing rapid increases in their website traffic. Most of them are associating these changes to the Yahoo! Search Update for the month of September 2008. Although, no official confirmation has been received from Yahoo! about the possible update, yet Webmasters firmly believe that these changes are infact a by-product of Yahoo! Search Update.
Here are the excerpts from a thread at Webmaster World:
“Our traffic is up around 30% on Yahoo starting some time Friday night. Is anyone else seeing this too?
I've always been under the impression that Yahoo gives a lot of weight to a domain's age. We might just be hitting one of those threshold values – our site is nearly 5 years old now.â€
“Yes an update.â€
“definitely movement across my terms, not really checked the quality as of yet even tho my terms are on the move upward. everything looks to be very similar first page in my industry…..â€
“Yeah, def an update. I woke up to 50% more traffic from Yahoo.â€
