Steve Souders the Chief Performance Officer at Yahoo! informs on his website, that he would join Google from next Monday. Since late last year executives have been leaving Yahoo! See Top YPN Executives Say Goodbye To Yahoo!.

The Chief of Performance, Souders was in charge of the website performance at Yahoo! And has been with the company since the year 2000.

The Chief has many accomplishments to his credit, he's the man behind the development of a set of best practices which make web sites faster. He has detailed the best practices, research findings and their benefits in his book " High Performance Web Sites." Further, he is also the creator of YSlow Firefox (Firebug) extension and has worked on the official Developer Network and User Interface blogs.

Apart from blogging the Yahoo! Developer Network he's been a regular speaker at various conferences as The Ajax Experience, Web 2.0 Expo, Rich Web Experience and OSCON.

Off late Yahoo! Employees have been leaving the company a bit too frequently and Souders move is yet another blow to Yahoo! More so because an ace employee has move to a rival.
